Giorgia Bressan is an artist who finds in creativity her most authentic space, a place where irony, nostalgia and retro inspirations intertwine to give life to evocative images. An illustrator who shuns boredom and homologation, characteristics that she fights every day with her personal style, which she likes to call “biondo-scompiglio”, meaning “blonde-havoc”, “blonde-turmoil”.
Her style is strongly rooted in the watercolor technique, which she considers indispensable because of the unique appeal of its texture. She often reworks her drawings digitally to adapt them to commercial and design needs, but always keeps intact the analog essence that distinguishes her stroke.
Nature is her main field of inspiration: botany, plants, and greenery are elements that make her feel at home, both when she observes them and when she draws them. Alongside these, another deep love is for pattern. The design of endlessly repeating patterns is for her an exercise in precision and imagination that fascinates her in a new way each time.
Giorgia considers illustration a universal language, a free and evocative medium.
