The aesthetics of taste meet the expression of contemporary art. 🍣✨
From New York’s MoMA to the heart of Fuorisalone, the iconic Kikkoman bottle—designed in 1961 by Kenji Ekuan and winner of the Compasso d’Oro award—takes center stage at the Kikkoman Gallery – Art of Flavor: a space where history, design, and experimentation converge, transforming a timeless object into a canvas open to contemporary interpretation.
For this project, Yoonik brought together four artists from its roster – Stella, Naomi Vona, Diari di Brodo, and Carolina Zuniga – to create a collection of illustrated dispensers, transforming the iconic Kikkoman bottle first into a living canvas and then into a unique collector’s item.
The artists shared their creative process, offering behind-the-scenes glimpses and forging authentic connections with their community, inviting the public to explore each piece up close. For six days, Stella brought the space on Via Tortona to life with live sessions, transforming it into an open creative workshop where interaction with the public became an integral part of the work: a true artistic experience.
Through Hélio Gomes’s narrative, we enter the heart of the project: hands drawing, ideas taking shape, details that tell of different identities, yet in perfect dialogue with one another.
